Where can chemical toxins be found? More like, where can't they be found, because they are pretty much everywhere. Food, personal care products, cosmetics, medications, pollutions, water, they're everywhere!!! As you know, your body is equipped to handle these toxins, but there comes a point when we are exposed to more toxins than our bodies can handle. Think of your body like a bucket and the toxins are water. You can fill and fill it, but it comes to a point where the bucket overflows. When this occurs in the body, you can experience different symptoms. A chiropractic adjustment can help to expand the reach of your bucket, but you have to do your part too. Limiting exposure to toxins allows your liver and kidneys to work properly and at their best to find and remove as much of these toxins as possible. This may be a complete surprise to some of you, but the system that freaks out the most in response to chemical toxins is the nervous system. Our nervous system can adapt to lots of things, but chemicals can be really strong. Simply put, many chemical toxins we encounter have no business being in our bodies. And they can be challenging to kick out of our bodies.
Here are some tips to get you started on limiting our toxin intake: 1) Maintain a healthy nervous system through Chiropractic Adjustments 2) Drink lots of water! Take your body weight, divide it in half. You should be drinking at minimum that number in ounces each day. 3) Get plenty of sleep 4) Eat clean foods. Avoid processed foods as much as possible.
